Privacy, deletion and appeals

For an appeal, identify the phone number, social handle or plate concerned and explain the correction requested. Do not email sensitive evidence unless a safe submission method has been agreed. This inbox is not an emergency service; no response time is guaranteed.

What we store

Your display name, guardian names and numbers, date plans, optional GPS location, evidence files, and submitted concerns are stored in Lovable Cloud. Private account data is restricted to its owner. Authorised moderators can access submitted reports and attached evidence.

Location links

Location is shared only after you enable it. Anyone who has your temporary tracking link can see your venue, last saved coordinates, location timestamp, and check-in status. Links stop working when you end the date or after 12 hours. Replace a sharing link on the date page to disable the old link without ending the plan. Share the replacement with your guardians. Ending sharing does not erase previously stored date information.

Evidence and community reports

Your vault is private by default, but is not end-to-end encrypted. Attaching a file to a report allows authorised moderators to view it. Search results contain only reviewed concern categories and review dates, not evidence or report authors. A reviewed concern is not a finding of guilt, and no result is not proof of safety. No criminal or government records are searched.

Emergency and device limitations

Sọra is not an emergency response service. Automatic SMS, phone calls, offline alerts, and guaranteed background monitoring are not connected. Messaging actions open drafts that you must send. Fake calls are simulations, not actual incoming calls. Locked screens or interrupted connections can stop timers, location updates, and recording. Never rely on this website as your only safety measure.

Your control and retention

You can remove guardians, delete evidence not attached to a report, and end a date to disable its link. Account deletion removes your profile, guardians, date plans, reports and private evidence, including files attached to reports. Those reports are removed from community lookup. Deletion cannot retract messages, downloads or copies already held by recipients. If deletion fails, the account stays available for retry; active links and submitted reports are disabled during the deletion process. Stored data otherwise remains until you delete it; a legally reviewed automatic retention schedule and backup-expiry policy are not yet established.

Safer browsing

Quick exit leaves this website, but does not erase browser history, downloaded evidence, or messages. If someone monitors your device, use a safer device when possible. Recording audio can have legal and personal-safety consequences; only record when lawful and safe.

Before public launch

The operator’s legal identity, Nigerian data-protection review, backup retention decisions, assigned trained moderators and verified delivery remain outstanding. No legal compliance certification or reliable automatic protection is claimed.
